Most or Mostly?

A reader recently asked me which of the following is correct:

 1.   Unlike most everyone my age

2.   Unlike mostly everyone my age

I answered her by saying that “most” is the casual way to say it, but it’s actually “Unlike almost everyone my age.”

I never said English isn’t tricky.

  1. I am so happy I found a blog I like that caters to my taste for the English language! Keep blogging. 🙂
